Rivers on the rise!

The run off is upon us. Warm temperatures and spring rains last week have got the Bitterroot and other local rivers on the rise.  Continued rain and temperatures close to 80 degrees this week are going to cause some big water. Fishing is not an option in these conditions and could be down right dangerous. This period of high water should last a while as we are looking at a snow pack now at 160%. The river could come back into shape by late June. It all depends on what the weather does over the next month and how fast or slow the snow pack melts. For now its time to tie flies and get to that damn yard work I have been putting off. I will continue to update these reports as conditions change.
